Quality Use Auto Parts (QUAP INC) Warranty Policy
At Quality Use Auto Parts (QUAP INC), we stand by the quality and reliability of the parts we sell. Our warranty policy is designed to offer our customers peace of mind by covering manufacturing defects and ensuring proper functionality when installed by certified professionals. Below is our detailed warranty coverage, categorized for easy reference. These are used parts that has been previously installed in another vehicle and has been professionally upcycled for reuse. Stated mileage is based on available records but is not guaranteed. Normal signs of wear, including external rust or cosmetic imperfections, may be present. Parts may be interchangeable units with the same OEM specifications, though they may not be an exact visual match. It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm compatibility via OEM part numbers. We are not liable for parts ordered due to incorrect diagnosis or assumptions.
1. Mechanical Parts Warranty
Engines
All engines are complete assemblies, including manifolds, oil pan, timing belts and covers, and fuel injection or carburetor. However, we guarantee only the long block.
The following components are not covered under warranty: manifolds, gaskets, seals, hoses, oil pan, timing belts, fuel injection systems, and carburetors.
“Block Only” (Short or Long Block) purchases are guaranteed to be rebuildable only.
Warranty covers manufacturing defects in the block, cylinder heads, pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, rockers, and oil pump.
The warranty period is 60 days from the date of delivery.
Warranty is void if:
Heat tabs are missing or melted.
Engine is disassembled without prior authorization.
Warranty documentation is not submitted within 5 business days of a claim.
Improper installation or overheating occurs.
Extended warranty is activated upon installation notification.
Transmissions
QUAP guarantees proper shifting, functional gears, and good bearings.
To maintain warranty validity:
Thoroughly clean transmission components, oil pan, and replace oil and filter before installation.
Replace all seals and gaskets.
Flush and flow-test the cooler and lines.
Fully engage the torque converter in the front pump.
For manual transmissions, install a new clutch, pressure plate, and slave cylinder, and have the flywheel turned.
The warranty period is 60 days from the date of delivery.
Warranty does not cover leaks due to non-replaced seals, gaskets, or filters.
Warranty is void if:
Transmission is disassembled without written authorization.
Modules are not reprogrammed by a dealer or ASE-certified mechanic.
Incorrect installation or improper fluid levels cause damage.
Turbos
Seals in turbochargers are not guaranteed to be perfect.
Warranty covers manufacturing defects only and is valid for 60 days from the date of delivery.
Warranty is void if:
The turbo is disassembled without written authorization.
Improper installation or modifications are made.
Extended warranty is activated upon installation notification.
Cylinder Heads
QUAP guarantees that used cylinder heads will be free from cracks upon delivery.
Warranty does not cover:
Valves, cams, springs, or any other included components.
Any resurfacing required before installation.
A diagnostic report from an ASE-certified technician is required for any warranty claim.
Cylinder heads must be installed within 10 business days of delivery.
Warranty is void if:
The cylinder head is disassembled without written authorization.
Installation is incorrect or improper maintenance causes damage.
Extended warranty is activated upon installation notification.
2. Electrical Parts Warranty
All Modules & Electronics
At QUAP INC, we specialize in providing quality used OEM automotive modules and components, tested and verified from running donor vehicles. All purchases are subject to the following Warranty, Return, and Terms of Sale Policy, which forms a legally binding agreement between QUAP INC (“Seller”) and the purchaser (“Buyer”).
By completing a transaction, the Buyer acknowledges and agrees to all terms and conditions outlined below.
1. PRODUCT DISCLOSURE
All parts sold by QUAP INC are used OEM components that have been previously installed in donor vehicles and professionally upcycled for reuse.
Stated mileage is based on available records and is not guaranteed.
Normal signs of wear (e.g., light rust, surface scratches, or cosmetic imperfections) may be present.
Parts are sold strictly for repair or replacement purposes, not for diagnostic testing or trial use.
Some parts may be interchangeable OEM units with the same specifications but may differ in appearance.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to verify compatibility via OEM part numbers before purchase.
QUAP INC is not liable for parts ordered due to misdiagnosis, incorrect assumptions, or compatibility errors.
2. WARRANTY COVERAGE
All eligible modules are covered by a standard 30-day limited replacement-only warranty from the date of delivery.
Covered Under Warranty
Internal module failure or malfunction not caused by external damage.
Non-functional module despite correct professional installation and reprogramming.
Verified ABS or electronic module defects supported by a diagnostic report from a certified mechanic or shop.
If a claim qualifies, a free replacement will be provided (subject to stock availability).
Warranty Activation
The purchased part must be installed within 10 business days from the date of delivery.
Proof of installation (dated receipt or work order from a certified mechanic or ASE technician) must be retained and presented at the time of any claim.
Failure to install within this timeframe results in automatic expiration of the warranty, as unused electrical components can degrade when not promptly installed.
3. WARRANTY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
The warranty will be void if any of the following conditions apply:
Improper installation or failure to perform required reprogramming.
Low voltage or unstable electrical supply (e.g., weak batteries, faulty alternators).
Electrical issues such as short circuits, blown fuses, or grounding faults.
Water damage, corrosion, or exposure to moisture.
Physical damage due to mishandling, impact, or accidents.
Compatibility mismatches (incorrect VIN, part number, or vehicle model).
Use in racing, off-road, or other extreme conditions.
Module disassembly, tampering, or modification without written authorization.
Installation or repair attempts by unqualified personnel.
Failures caused by related vehicle-side issues (e.g., wiring, sensor faults, ABS pump failures).
These issues are typically the result of installation or vehicle condition, not part quality, and are therefore not covered by warranty.
4. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE
To initiate a warranty claim:
Submit written notice via email or mail within 5 business days of identifying the issue.
Include the following documentation:
Diagnostic report from a certified shop
Proof of professional installation (invoice or work order)
Clear photographs or videos showing the issue and part labels
All warranty claims are reviewed case-by-case. QUAP INC reserves the right to request the return of the original unit for verification before issuing a replacement.
Replacements are shipped after verification. If a replacement is not available, a refund will be issued within 24 hours of claim approval.
5. SHIPPING AND DAMAGE CLAIMS
All shipments must be inspected upon delivery.
Any shipping damage must be reported to QUAP INC within 48 hours of receipt, with photographs clearly showing the damage.
A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) will then be issued.
Damaged parts must be shipped back in the same condition within 7 days of RMA issuance.
Replacements for shipping-damaged parts will be sent after inspection.
If no replacement is available, a refund will be issued.
6. RETURNS & REPLACEMENTS
All returns require prior authorization.
Returns must be shipped within 7 business days of receiving the return address.
Return shipping is at the buyer’s expense, and tracking details must be provided.
Returned parts must include all original packaging and tamper-proof seals intact.
Replacements are considered repairs of the original sale, and the original installation date remains in effect.
Non-Eligible Returns
Returns will not be accepted if:
The customer no longer needs the part or changed their mind.
The part was misdiagnosed or found unrelated to the issue.
The mechanic was unavailable or declined installation.
The vehicle was sold, scrapped, or repaired by other means.
The customer purchased multiple parts for testing or comparison.
The module was installed, plugged in, or programmed (even unsuccessfully).
The customer found a lower price elsewhere.
The issue was due to improper diagnosis, fuse/wiring issues, or reprogramming errors.
The part was altered, damaged, or opened.
Improper installation or misdiagnosis will be treated as a return, with all freight costs borne by the customer.
7. CANCELLATIONS
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of order confirmation.
Cancellations made after this period are subject to a 30% restocking fee.8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
QUAP INC shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including but not limited to:
Labor or installation costs
Vehicle downtime, towing, or rental expenses
Diagnostic or programming charges
Lost time, business, or profit
Liability is strictly limited to the original purchase price of the part.
9. COMMUNICATION
All post-installation inquiries, warranty submissions, and supporting documentation must be communicated via email, fax, or written mail.
Warranty documentation must be submitted within 5 business days of claim initiation.
10. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By placing an order with QUAP INC, the Buyer acknowledges that they:
Have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.
Have verified the compatibility of the purchased part.
Are aware the part is a used OEM component.
Understand that installation and programming must be completed by a qualified technician.
Accept that this document, the invoice, and the website together constitute the full disclosure of sale terms.
3. Body Parts Warranty
Doors, Hoods, Fenders, Bumpers, Quarter Panels & Header Panels
Body parts are sold as-is and are guaranteed only for structural integrity.
Accessories such as windows, regulators, handles, hinges, and interior panels are not guaranteed.
Specific colors may be requested but a perfect color match is not guaranteed.
It is recommended that all body parts be repainted to match the vehicle.
Returns are not accepted due to color discrepancies.
4. Accessories Warranty
Accessories such as turbos, starters, air compressors, alternators, power steering pumps, optical distributors, and electrical water pumps are not included under the warranty unless purchased separately.
Other components that may require replacement at the time of installation include:
Water pump, distributor cap, spark plugs, wires, and timing chain.
QUAP is not liable for these high-wear parts.
Warranty Claim Process
Warranty claims must be submitted within 5 business days of identifying an issue.
Documentation, including proof of installation by a certified technician, must be provided.
QUAP will review and authorize repairs or replacements on a case-by-case basis.
Returns due to incorrect orders or misdiagnosis will require customers to cover freight costs for both return and replacement.
Any part returned under warranty must not be disassembled unless prior approval is given.
Additionally
Warranty does not cover:
Labor costs, installation fees, towing, or rental car expenses.
Damage due to improper installation, overheating, misuse, accidents, or modifications.
Normal wear-and-tear components such as seals, gaskets, belts, and hoses.
Electronics that require programming but were not properly reset by a dealer or certified technician.
The part purchased is installed in an application for which the vehicle manufacturer did not intend it.
Defect or failure is caused by a towing trailer or any other vehicle unless your vehicle is equipped for this purpose as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
Failure resulted by abuse, misuse, or improper modification. The part fails or becomes defective resulting from the vehicle being involved in a collision.
The vehicle is not serviced at proper intervals, or appropriate fuel or coolant is not supplied in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
Failure or defect caused by theft, fire, collision, explosion, earthquake, lightning, windstorm, hail, water, freezing or flood.
Heat tab centers are melted or removed.
Extended warranty is only valid if QUAP is notified immediately after installation.
Warranty coverage begins from the delivered date.
Timing belts, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, fluids and seals are routine maintenance items and should be replaced at the time of installation and at the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended service intervals.
Quality Use Auto Parts drains all fluids from the parts that we sell. It is the customer’s responsibility to fill all part components with the appropriate fluids or lubricants. Cooling system must be filled with appropriate antifreeze.
Warranty does not cover freight costs or similar damages.
Quality Use Auto Parts is not responsible for any injury or damages that result from installation of purchased parts.
The year and model of the vehicle or part printed on an invoice is within range of interchangeability. The part supplied to customer may not necessarily be the exact model and year as the part or vehicle that has been provided.
Proper verification of operating conditions for cooling and electrical systems must be checked at time of installation of parts or products that can be affected by these systems.
